About the project.
One of our original founders, and our good friend Rachel retired from full-time marketing to run an amazing little motel that she owns in Leelanau County, Michigan. Sunrise Landing is a nostalgic lakeside boutique resort nestled on the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay. This charming 12-unit “throwback” lodging offers cozy ground-level rooms—all with lake views and access to a private sandy beach—alongside a relaxed, home-away-from-home vibe that’s been welcoming guests since 1962. Guests are invited to unwind in signature Adirondack chairs, toast a beach fire under the stars, and enjoy freshly brewed coffee each morning—a restful escape that subtly honors the spirit of classic summer retreats.

How it helped.
Sunrise Landing needed branding that echoed its warm, nostalgic identity while elevating its presence in the marketplace. We designed a logo that gently nods to the morning sun—warm, natural, and inviting—perfect for representing a place where each day begins with light and serenity. The business cards carry through this look with balanced typography and subtle texture, maintaining elegance while inviting tactile interaction. The result is a brand identity that feels familiar and comforting, yet clearly refined—just like a stay at Sunrise Landing itself.
