by | Apr 28, 2020

It seems like only yesterday when we began this 8-week journey with you.

So much has changed in the world around us as we continue to hunker-down in various states of “social distancing”. While we’re all experiencing some degree of discomfort, many small businesses are experiencing tremendous financial difficulty and economic hardship during this times.  Our hearts go out to the people and families that have been touched by this virus. We look forward to the day when this is all behind us.

Finally, we hope that these weekly tips are helping you to improve your website and providing your business with value.

This week, we’re going to explore another change that you can make to your website to help your business succeed! Hopefully, you find today’s tip easy to implement and it will help you improve your website’s performance and minimize any lost opportunities.

Before reading into today’s post, you should check out the first four tips in the series:

Week 1: Add A Tagline
Week 2: Add A Path To Success
Week 3: Add A Call-To-Action
Week 4: Add Contact Forms

All caught-up?  Okay, let’s get started!

Add Your Contact Information

If your business relies on phone calls or foot-traffic from customers, then your website NEEDS to provide visitors with your phone number and your address—Period.

It’s actually quite amazing how many companies don’t display their contact information in a prominent place.

We’ve consulted with several businesses that had either buried their contact information at the bottom of their contact page, or simply failed to include it on their site altogether.

Whether your business offers in-home service calls, has a brick-and-mortar retail location, is a delivery service, or something else, it’s imperative to display a phone number and (or) address at the top of every page of your website.

If you don’t, your customers will find a company that does. In the example above, Roto-Rooter does a great job of ALWAYS displaying their phone number along with a search feature to locate the nearest franchise. Even as the visitor scrolls through the page content, they’re never allowed to venture too far from being able to call.

Make a positive change today! Add your contact information to the top of every page and in the footer of your website.
